Take the amount you already have in mg or mcg, then read exact unit marks for a U-100 insulin syringe from a peptide dosing chart. Each chart pairs the vial size you have with how much bacteriostatic water you added, so you can skip the syringe math. Your prescriber always decides the dose; after you know your prescribed amount, we provide the unit conversions.
Using a peptide dosing chart and dosing guide
Start in the directory: find your compound and open the peptide dosage calculator made for it, or a printable table of units. Alongside prescription GLP-1 medications and common research vials, we offer a general reconstitution calculator and a BPC-157 calculator.
In every table, a target dose in mg or mcg becomes syringe units, covering the vial weights and water volumes that are most common. In 1 mL of liquid, 100 units fit in a U-100 syringe. Our charts follow that standard scale, so your barrel's unit mark matches.

How do units charts work?
Target doses run down the side; across the top, columns give your vial mg and how many mL of water you added. The cell at the point where your dose row and vial column meet shows the exact U-100 units to draw.
Say you add 2 mL of bacteriostatic water to a 10 mg vial; the liquid then holds 5 mg per 1 mL. With the strength at 5 mg per mL, a 0.5 mg dose comes to 0.1 mL of liquid, and your syringe reads 10 units. If you mix 2 mL of water with the same 10 mg vial and need a 100 mcg dose that's smaller, you draw 2 units.
| Your dose | 5 mg + 2 mL2.5 mg/mL | 10 mg + 2 mL5 mg/mL | 10 mg + 1 mL10 mg/mL |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 mcg | 4 units | 2 units | 1 unit |
| 250 mcg | 10 units | 5 units | 2.5 units |
| 500 mcg | 20 units | 10 units | 5 units |
| 1 mg | 40 units | 20 units | 10 units |
| 1.5 mg | 60 units | 30 units | 15 units |
| 2 mg | 80 units | 40 units | 20 units |
| 2.5 mg | 100 units | 50 units | 25 units |
Show label doses for FDA-approved drugs only
Official dosing schedules tested in people exist only for FDA-approved drugs. Tirzepatide is sold as Mounjaro and Zepbound; semaglutide is sold as Ozempic and Wegovy. These are among them. FDA labels also cover tesamorelin, marketed as Egrifta SV, and bremelanotide, known as PT-141 and marketed as Vyleesi.
Our semaglutide dosage chart and our tirzepatide dosage chart put official step-up schedules next to syringe math, and you can view them there. We never suggest a dose for most other compounds, including retatrutide, CJC-1295, ipamorelin and BPC-157, TB-500, since they're unapproved research chemicals with no FDA label.
Before you draw a dose
Make sure the syringe barrel is printed with U-100 before you pull the plunger back. A pet insulin syringe marked U-40 holds only 40 units per 1 mL, so pairing it with a U-100 chart measures the wrong volume.
Check whether your dose uses mg or mcg, with mcg standing for micrograms. If you confuse those 2 units, your draw changes by 1,000 times, since 1 mg matches 1,000 mcg; always check which unit your chart uses.
Questions people ask
How often do you inject peptide doses?
The injection schedule comes from your prescriber or the official drug label. FDA labels for Zepbound, Mounjaro, Wegovy and Ozempic ask for 1 dose a week; Egrifta SV, by contrast, is injected 1 time daily. Research peptides that lack approval have no official label schedule.
When do you take peptides, in the morning or at night?
FDA labels for weekly tirzepatide and semaglutide set out a 7-day schedule, and neither requires morning or night dosing. Follow what your prescription label says, or ask your prescriber which time of day fits your routine.
What's the semaglutide label schedule?
Weeks 1 through 4 call for 0.25 mg on the Wegovy label, given 1 time a week, and weeks 5 through 8 call for 0.5 mg. After 1 mg in weeks 9 through 12, the amount goes to 1.7 mg in weeks 13 through 16, then to 2.4 mg each week from week 17 on.
What's the tirzepatide label schedule?
For 4 weeks, the Zepbound label starts dosing at 2.5 mg under the skin, 1 time a week. After that, the dose increases in 2.5 mg steps, with at least 4 weeks at each step. For maintenance, the usual dose is 5, 10 or 15 mg a week, and the maximum is 15 mg.
