HGH calculator
Put in your dose, your HGH vial size and the water you added; you then see the units to draw with a U-100 insulin syringe.
Just for reference. Your dose comes from your prescriber or the product label; all we do here is turn it into units.
- sizes of vials you can buy
- 5.8 mg
- status of approval
- FDA-approved
- for example: 5.8 mg with 2 mL added
- 2.9 mg in each mL
Working out the HGH math
Divide the amount in the vial by the water to get the strength. With 2 mL of water in a 5.8 mg vial, each mL holds 2.9 mg. Take your dose, divide it by that strength for mL, then multiply by 100 to get U-100 syringe units.
A 100 mcg dose from that vial comes to 0.034 mL, which equals 3.4 units.
A quick look at HGH units
| Your dose | 5.8 mg vial + 2 mL |
|---|---|
| 1 IU (0.33 mg) | 11.5 units |
| 2 IU (0.67 mg) | 23 units |
| 3 IU (1 mg) | 34.5 units |
| 4 IU (1.33 mg) | 46 units |
| 5 IU (1.67 mg) | 57.5 units |
| 6 IU (2 mg) | 69 units |
With that vial and water, each cell gives the amount a U-100 syringe should be filled to.
So, is HGH FDA-approved or not?
You can find FDA-approved somatropin brands such as Serostim, Genotropin, Humatrope, Norditropin, Omnitrope; a prescription is required. Label steps here come only from the FDA label; with any other vial, your prescriber sets the dose.
Frequently asked questions
For a 5.8 mg HGH vial, how much water do I add?
You choose how much water to add; it only changes the strength of each mL. Adding 2 mL gives you 2.9 mg in every mL; with extra water each unit carries less, so measuring small doses gets easier.
1 mg of HGH equals how many units?
That depends on how strong your mix is. 1 mg comes to 34.5 units at a strength of 2.9 mg/mL. Type your vial and water into the calculator to see the number you get.
Mixed HGH: how long does it last?
Your product or prescription gives a storage line; follow it. Within 28 days of the first needle, bacteriostatic water itself, per CDC guidance, should be used.
