Glutathione reconstitution calculator
Enter your dose, your glutathione vial size and the water you added; then see the units to draw with a U-100 insulin syringe.
Use this information for reference only. Your dose comes from your prescriber or the product label; we only convert that dose into units.
- sizes of vials sold
- 600, 1,500 mg
- status of approval
- Not FDA-approved
- example: 600 mg combined with 10 mL
- each mL contains 60 mg
How glutathione math works
Divide the amount in the vial by the amount of water to find its strength. When you add 10 mL of water to a 600 mg vial, each mL contains 60 mg. Divide your dose by the strength to find the mL; then multiply by 100 to find the units on a U-100 syringe.
From that vial, a 1.5 mg dose equals 0.025 mL, or 2.5 units.
A quick look at glutathione units
| Your dose | 600 mg vial + 10 mL | 1,500 mg vial + 10 mL |
|---|---|---|
| 3 mg | 5 units | 2 units |
| 4 mg | 6.7 units | 2.7 units |
| 5 mg | 8.3 units | 3.3 units |
| 7.5 mg | 12.5 units | 5 units |
| 10 mg | 16.7 units | 6.7 units |
| 12.5 mg | 20.8 units | 8.3 units |
| 15 mg | 25 units | 10 units |
| 20 mg | 33.3 units | 13.3 units |
| 25 mg | 41.7 units | 16.7 units |
For each vial and water amount, a cell tells you the line to draw up to on a U-100 syringe.
Is glutathione FDA-approved or not?
It has no FDA-approved use in people and is sold as a research chemical. Without an FDA label, no official dose exists. Our only job is to convert the dose you already have.
Questions people often ask
For a 600 mg glutathione vial, how much water should I use?
You choose the water amount; it only affects the strength of each mL. Using 10 mL gives you 60 mg per mL; more water means less in each unit, so measuring small doses gets easier.
How many units does 1 mg of glutathione equal?
This depends on how strong your mix is. When the strength is 60 mg/mL, 1 mg equals 1.7 units. Add your vial and water details to the calculator to find your number.
How long does mixed glutathione stay usable?
Follow the storage instructions on your product or prescription. CDC guidance says you should use bacteriostatic water within 28 days after the first needle.
