How to reconstitute NAD+
The steps for mixing a NAD+ vial with bacteriostatic water, and the units every dose comes to after the mix is done.
- Sizes of vials sold
- 500, 1,000 mg
- For 500 mg, water gives 100 mg/mL
- 5 mL
- bacteriostatic water after opening
- 28 days

Mixing NAD+ step by step
- Using an alcohol swab, wipe both rubber stoppers, on the peptide vial and on the bacteriostatic water, after washing your hands.
- Draw the amount of water you chose into the syringe. A 500 mg vial with 5 mL gives 100 mg per mL.
- Insert the needle at a slight angle through the stopper. Let the water flow slowly along the vial's inner wall.
- Gently roll the vial between your hands until the powder disappears. Don't shake it.
- Note the mix date on the vial, then store it as your product or prescription directs.
- First calculate how many units your dose needs; then draw to that line.

Label information
It isn't FDA-approved for any use in people; it's sold as a research chemical. Because no FDA label exists, there are no official mixing instructions; follow what came with the product.
Questions people often ask
How much bacteriostatic water should I use for 500 mg of NAD+?
There isn't one correct amount. With 5 mL, you get 100 mg per mL; adding more water weakens each unit, so small doses are easier to draw.
Can I mix NAD+ with sterile water?
Because sterile water lacks a preservative and is single use, bacteriostatic water is usually used for a mixed vial that you draw from over days. Read about bacteriostatic water compared with sterile water.
