How to reconstitute MOTS-c: water added to the vial wall

Follow these steps to mix MOTS-c

  1. Wash your hands, then use an alcohol swab to wipe both rubber stoppers, one on the peptide vial and one on the bacteriostatic water.
  2. Pull the water you chose into the syringe. A 10 mg vial mixed with 2 mL gives 5 mg per mL.
  3. Angle the needle slightly, push it through the stopper, and let the water run slowly along the vial's inner wall.
  4. Gently roll the vial between your hands until no powder remains. Don't shake it.
  5. Mark the vial with the mix date and store it as your product or prescription directs.
  6. Calculate the units for your dose, then draw the syringe to that line.

It has no FDA-approved use in people and is sold as a research chemical. Since no FDA label exists, there are no official mixing instructions; follow what came with the product.

Questions people often ask

How much bacteriostatic water do you need for 10 mg of MOTS-c?

No single amount is correct. With 2 mL, you get 5 mg per mL; adding more water lowers the amount in each unit, which makes small doses easier to draw.

Is sterile water okay for mixing MOTS-c?

Sterile water contains no preservative and is meant for one use. That is why a mixed vial you draw from over several days is usually prepared with bacteriostatic water. Read the bacteriostatic and sterile water comparison.
